Title: Mediocre at best

Review: I bought this guy's entire series of these books and they *are* mildly interesting, but they are so amateurishly done that they were almost a chore to get through.

Every one of the books is absolutely riddled with typos and grammatical errors. There was clearly not even the most basic proofreading or editing done before these were printed. They were obviously self-published and -printed, but even so, Jesus, spend at least THIRTY SECONDS looking them over for errors. Thankfully, they're all very short--basically pamphlet-sized.

To top things off, he gives out one of the books--the one on Black-Eyed Children--for free as a link to a PDF that he puts in every one of the other books, but then he ended up later printing and selling THAT book too. So for someone like me who bought all the books at once--including that one--I ended up paying for a book that I could have gotten for free. Really, dude, if you've already given something out for free to everyone, you don't then SELL it a few months later as a greedy tactic to get just a bit more cash.

All in all, they were ok books with a some interesting tidbits on the paranormal, but the slapdash way they were put together took a lot of the enjoyment out of them.

Review: I love this books. Thank you Zach for putting these out for us to read! I've read 6 of these books now and plan on reading them all. If you haven't read any of the other ones, don't worry, they are not narratively connected. This is a great collection of creepy stories and histories (my favorite part) of famous, semi-famous, and previously unknown scary hospitals and asylums. Only downside, this like the others could have used a pass-over by a copy editor but otherwise everything is good.

Review: Definitely an enjoyable book: nice writing style, interesting subject matter, great presentation. The only thing that might improve this book is to add more stories--at about 83 pages, it's definitely a bit on the short side (or maybe it's just my enthusiasm for more that makes me say that).

And if you're looking for more books along the same vain I can suggest "Haunted Healthcare" by Richard Estep.

Title: Hospitalization

Review: My mother had a severe mental illness during the 50s and 60s. I remember well how absolutely terrified she was of being hospitalized when I was a kid. After over 100 shock treatments in a two year petiod, she was treated at home with medication. I for one am certainly grateful for books like this because my mom was always too frightened to tell me what she went through.

Review: I always been drawn to haunted places, and this book had my mind running wild, like I was there feeling the haunting wished it was bigger could of use more stories ,, loved it allot.

Review: A good read with some details. Some writings of this genre seem to be entirely imaginary. No facts nothing that can be substanuated. I would have enjoy it more if it was longer with more stories that why I gave it 4 stars
